WELCOME TO SI-LAB

The laboratory accelerating innovation in pediatric surgery

Welcome to SI-Lab !
The laboratory accelerating innovation in pediatric surgery

SI-Lab (Innovation Laboratory of the French Pediatric Surgery Societies) was born from a simple observation: innovation in pediatric surgery requires agile, collaborative, and results-oriented structures.

Since its inception, the SI-Lab has been organized around co-development meetings and is continually enriched by new expertise: stakeholders from the hospital, institutional, industrial, and scientific sectors, engineers, AI and data specialists, sociologists, lawyers, and more—all coming together to exchange perspectives and generate innovative solutions.

Our ambition: To accelerate the emergence and deployment of concrete innovations that benefit children.
Our focus: All children, with a particular emphasis on newborns with congenital anomalies and children with cancer.
A unique approach: The SI-Lab is based on a collaborative, national, and multidisciplinary model that relies on the pooling of resources, the simplification of innovation pathways, and the development of strategic partnerships (foundations, startups, researchers, clinicians, industry partners)

Support from the Fondation de l’Avenir plays a key role in the development of the SI-Lab. Donors who wish to join this effort can also contribute, in their own way, to the growth of the SI-Lab. This project, which is truly innovative in the field of surgery, relies on human and financial resources to expand its reach, whether through new programs—in addition to the two-week program already underway—or through the organization of congresses and conferences, which are essential vehicles for its outreach.
